miyo's getting as funny as miles

Miyo was standing by the toilet with her pants around her ankles and I teased, "I saw your tush!" She responded, "You didn't too!"

She asked me what happens if you don't blink, and so I went into a long speech about eyes needing moisture, blah blah blah... they would dry out... And then she said to me, "I bet you die too."

Miles and I (I, under a little duress) listen to KDWB with Dave Ryan in the morning on his way to school. Gary Spivey (sp?) was being promoted and he was asking me what's up with that guy? I laughed with him and was saying something about Gary saying he's taking bad spirits out of people. Miles says in a southern accent (channeling Gary), "Up to 200 now." Our newest additions; Mitsu is a one year year old with beautiful markings and green eyes. Kiko is a 3 month old Russian Blue with Golden eyes.

miyo and preschool equals best times ever

Miyo is in Threeschool now, 2 days a week. When she wakes up in the morning and we tell her it's a school day, once she said, "Oh! My beautiful, beautiful school!" When Ben drops her off she says, "Before you leave I am going to hug you." When I pick her up she sings the new song of the day. Yesterday it was "Mongus whale, mongus whale, spouting in the water..." I think it was supposed to be humongous. The first day was, "Brother oval shaped like a zero. Sister diamond shaped like a kite. Mama circle shaped like a pie [thanks for that one]. This is a papa rectangle shaped like a door." There's more, but she gets mixed up and then I do too.

miles is street

We were riding in the car to the Edinborough Adveture Park (or whatever it's called). Miles tells Ben, "Say something mean to me." So Ben calls Miles a jerk. In a totally hilarious voice that sounded like Rylo from The Cleveland Show or something, Miles responds, "Nah, you're just ignorant."

look at this, my beautiful boy

I am sad. My friend has a child with autism as well. He can draw beyond his age ability and make legos of hammerhead sharks and swordfish (you don't even have to be told what they are when you look at them). He is in regular school; mainstreamed. I am so proud of her as a mother and so happy for her, I really truly am, she deserves it. But I hurt for me. I hurt so bleepin' bad. I am doing it all wrong.

the marker vs. miyo

Miyo has on a bathing suit and is running around the house. She had marker on her thigh and we yelled at her as per usual. Then she pulled her bottoms down a little and scratched her butt, revealing that she markered both cheeks. As I pulled them down to look more, Ben started laughing. She had also markered the front... A three year old with black sharpie pen drawn on pubic hair is shockingly funny.
